Itunes - ver7.3
update from 7.2 to 7.3; 7.3 changes all downloaded music to
"mpeg-4/protected". This prevents "windows Media Player-11" from adding these music files to its "library". Obviously most people would want (1) library to play/record music from/to. How do I go back to Itunes-7.2? When I do (go back to 7.2 ver.) will these music downloads be mpeg-3/unprotected. |

No it doesn't.
iTunes does not apply protection to DRM free tracks. As for going back to 7.2 do it this way. Move your music someplace safe and then uninstall iTunes and Quicktime, if you used a separate install for that. Now go get this and run it : http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=290301 iTunes v. 7.2 is here : http://filehippo.com/download_itunes/?2736 edit : To add to this iTunes uses AAC for it's music files not mpeg. It sounds like you've got some form of video/mp3 confusion going on.
