disk defrag + internet eraser software?

Hello, been awhile since I’ve been on here.

If you guys can help me and recommend the following that would be a great help.
I am after:

1.A really solid disk defrag software. What’s the current market leader at the moment or what do you use and why?

2.An internet eraser software, just something that will clear all the crap / cookies etc etc

I did use internet eraser but now it doesn’t work because I’ve just upgraded to Vista.

Thanks for your time,

CCleaner has a new version out for Vista that will do the cleaning.
I don't know of any 3rd party defrag software that Vista will run.

Raxco Perfect Disk runs on vista (32 and 64 i believe) and apparently so does Auslogics disk defrag (which is free).

Hi,

Yes am just trying out o&o defrag 10. I quite like it and seems like a good solid peice of software.

About the CC cleaner, I will try that out too.

Has any one got any other recommendations? If so please say why.

Thanks

Diskeeper runs on both 32 and 64 bit vista AFAIK. (Specs link here: Diskeeper specs link ). Its a great defragger, especially if you like to leave it on auto and not bother about setting schedules, though you can do that too. Manual defrags are faster than the other defraggers, in my experience.

My suggestion is to download the trial version (link: Diskeeper -downloads) and play with it before you buy.
