CRASH Transfering Hard Drive data to another.

I was asked to upgrade one of the Hard Drives at my work. They want me to transfer their data on their 41 GB Hard Drive to a 320 GB. What program would anyone recommend me using?

Are they just replacing the HD or getting a new computer? If they are replacing the hard drive Acronis Drive Image or Ghost will work. If they are getting a new computer, it is easiest to slave the old HD on the new machine copy the data and then remove.

To do a simple clone job, you can use the free utility from the hard drive maufacturer - such as WD Data Lifeguard Tools or Seagate Disk Wizard.

Just dont copy the empty drive onto the full drive!!!

If you have the server space or backup tape backup the drive first.
