Having trouble with Taski Desktop Video Recorder.

I recently installed Taski Video Recorder in order to record game footage. However, whenever I try to record a game there is no picture to the video. I do hook the app. the proper way, and I have played around with the different codecs to see if that was the problem, but I can't figure it out. Taski does record since it leaves a .wmv file on my computer, but there is simply no picture when I try to play the video. Any help?

P.S. They game I have been trying to record is Medieval 2 Total War.
