Looking for a software package...

I'm looking for a software package that can model a house, as I'm looking at renovating my house in a number of ways shortly, and need a bit of help envisioning what it will look like afterwards.
I've searched the forum and can't find any mentions of programs others might have used, and I was hoping someone on here might have done this previously.

Try out Turbocad....
http://www.turbocad.com/

I've been using Turbocad for years and it's fantastic. I'm not remodeling homes but
I just use it to render simple drawings. As with any CAD program, there is a considerale
learning curve to overcome.

One thing about Turbocad is that it always sold for a reasonable price. I purchased version 5
for $35 at a computer show but I see now the price went upto about $150 for version 14.

If $150 is too high for your liking, check out eBbay for an earlier version at a more reasonable
price. I'm running version 5 on WinXP.

Cheers, I have basic CAD skills already... I was more looking for a package designed at doing home stuff. But a valid suggestion nonetheless

Try Google's SketchUp. There is a free version that's fairly capable. There is also a commercial product.
