Hiya, a quick question about Prime95.

Apparently there are different version of the program that offer some and not other. Can someone tell me which one is best to use?

Also, what is the liekly chance of fatal error in a Stock system test? and how about moderately Clocked?

I read that Prime95 test both the CPU and RAM at the same time, is that right?

Also, I am using AMD and anyone know a good temp monitor program that let me view the Temp while I run the test? Estimate is fine. I know of only Speed Fan and that is it.

Thanks

Run it the first time as the basic program.
You don't need any "extras" for this.
The chance of a fatal error in a stock system, nothing over clocked, approaches zero.

Once you start over clocking you take your chances and it depends entirely on your hardware, you thought it was moderate and your motherboard didn't agree.
So you get to reset the CMOS and reconsider limits and voltages ( Unless you went crazy but you know about "gradual", right? ).

It test the over clock so yes the processor and ram get tested together.

Get all the benchmarks without the over clock.
Then, one small step at a time, increase.
You need to know what the base is first and then you need to think about things like upping voltage ( this is where you ask someone with the same set up as yours who over clocked successfully ).
Do yourself, and us, a favor and post your specs. We really need to know your power supply.
