Freeware that converts text files into mp3 files

There is a freeware named panopreter which can read text files and word documents, even convert them into MP3 files and wave files, I have converted some of my files into MP3, and listen to them with a mp3 player. it's very easy to use.

Nice one, ffish. Have sent this to my Sister. She's a travel writer and may find this useful...

It works well with English files, how about other languages such as German or French?

... it can read in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese and more, if such Text-To-Speech voice engines have been installed on your computer.

Wow... when I read the title, my first vision was a utility that made weird music converting letters into notes... That would be something!

Nice find, though!
