Code in Word
As of the last day or so, all code characters, such as hypertext or the automatic text in a header, have been showing in Word as the text rather than the result. IOW, my automated header says {Date\*mergeformat}{time\*mergeformat}Page {Page} of {Numpages}. Hypertext shows up in the same source code instead of the object, to borrow a description.
How do I get it to look like HTML instead of a description thereof, or page numbers instead of the above gibberish? Thank you |

Hi Gdubin, and welcome!
Try this: In Tools menu - Options - View, make sure that 'show field codes' is unchecked. This is where to go in Word 2002, if you are on a different version search 'field codes' in 'help' HTH, Chris Last edited by Chris in U.K.; 10-19-2007 at 02:24 PM. |
