outlook express sending message-

In Outlook Express 6 keeps poping up this message when I shut it down:
" To free up disk space, outlook express can compact messages. this can take a few min."

How do I stop this from poping up?
thanks

OE will do this every 100 times you open/close it...It's generally best to let it do its thing...

The attached pic shows the location of the reg entry to set the counter back to zero....You'll have to do this every time you get the prompt to compress.

Thanks for the help. I do not want to compress them, so the reg fix will work great.

EzyStvy,
hate to be a pain, but I can't read the jpg. Its to small, when I blow it up it distorts to much. I don't suppose you could copy that path and post it bak to me?

thanks

" H Key- Current- User" / Identities / there is a long number double click on that / Software / Microsoft / Outlook Express /5.0

In righthand pane / double click " Compact Check Count"
then change the number to "0".
