Question Files missing in Apricorn image back up

I just got a late call.
Power surge fried the computer and surge protector but the caller had just imaged the C drive using apricorn to her new usb hard drive a few days before.
So a few days and a new Dell later she's ready to restore some files and she can't find them.
My Pictures isn't there, and neither is My Music ( There goes her sister's wedding photos and her iTunes music collection.).
I can't get over there to check till Monday, but are they really gone?
What does Apricorn do with those folders when you image the hard drive?

I've solved this one by taking apart one of my Apricorn image files.
Apricorn breaks My Music and the My Pictures into several named folders, some based on the files already in the folder others preceded by the owners name, which means that if you open the image and just go looking for "My Music" etc. you're won't find it. Also, you have to jump through a few hoops to restore individual files from the image.
The solution, if you need a drive images as well as individual folders, is to put both on your backup usb drive.

My Pictures and My Music are just pointers.

c:\documents and settings\username\my documents\my music
c:\documents and settings\username\my documents\my pictures

Yes, so I found out when I took one of my back ups apart.
She got her music and the wedding pictures back.
