insert-button
hi
I have a coleague/user who claims that whenever she starts a mail in outlook the insert function jumps to "on" so she overwrites text. as this is kind of hard to google for (the word "insert" seems to pop up a lot) i thought i might ask here . we're running windows XP with office 2003 annyybody have anny idea what might cause it, asside from user error? greetz wouter |

Did you confirm the problem???
Open notepad and type something....Arrow back to the left a few spots then type something again...It should push the text to the right "if" the insert key is off. Now start a new mail message and repeat the above..... If the insert key is in fact coming on...go to Tools->Options->Mail Format tab and UNcheck Use MS Word to see if that helps.

Start Outlook .. and go to Create a New Message.
Tools > Options > Edit tab > UNCheck Overtype Mode HTH |
