insert-button

hi

I have a coleague/user who claims that whenever she starts a mail in outlook the insert function jumps to "on" so she overwrites text.

as this is kind of hard to google for (the word "insert" seems to pop up a lot) i thought i might ask here .


we're running windows XP with office 2003

annyybody have anny idea what might cause it, asside from user error?

Did you confirm the problem???

Open notepad and type something....Arrow back to the left a few spots then type something again...It should push the text to the right "if" the insert key is off.

Now start a new mail message and repeat the above.....

If the insert key is in fact coming on...go to Tools->Options->Mail Format tab and UNcheck Use MS Word to see if that helps.

Start Outlook .. and go to Create a New Message.
Tools > Options > Edit tab > UNCheck Overtype Mode
