Hello, Hi.
In a web search I was directed to this thread: Adobe UI Font Error Here is the content of that conversation from January 2003: Quote:
So, the question is, and I have already searched the Adobe Support Tech Docs for any reference to this error, and Nada/Null response/Zilch Zero references to this particular problem. So, just for your edification? And for the purposes of showing exactly what is happening with my Adobe, let us look at what is happening. Now, I have a fairly fresh installation of Windows Media Center Edition 2005, 3.0 GHz Prescott Pentium IV, 2GB Kingston ValueRam, 1TB of various storage, RAID/SATA/IDE/USB etc and 400MHz>>800 MHz FSB>>Dual Channel and Dual Boot with Vista Ultimate Edition. Now, this PC is not your average Duo Core but it IS your average Hyper-Threaded and Dual Channelled Buttkicking PC (like from 2005). Vista UE runs swell: with a score of 2.2 so you can imagine how well this heap runs Windows XP Media Center Ed. Now: I recently Installed Adobe Photoshop CS2 9.0.2 which was bundled in a DVD with various Adobe Programs like Acrobat 3D, After FX, GoLive, etc and etc. The only programs I was interested in were Adobe Photoshop CS2 and Acrobat 3D, cos I needed the capabilities of Acrobat 3D for some encrypting problems. But, just a couple of weeks ago, this began Here is my splash screen with the error imposed over it: ![]() Please excuse the large Gif, the code in this BBS does not allow me to reduce the size. What I am looking for is a 2007 Analogue for this 2002-2003 problem. Also, I did these things: I deliberately uninstalled Adobe "Bridge" which appeared to be a redundo-bloat program (Took up space, and did not offer me any usable functionality)- And a couple of other adobe "helper" apps that leeched on and attached to Photoshop and Acrobat 3D. One of these was the Damnable Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Worthless and Useless Edition, which ^&^%$ automatically wants to install without my permission. Then I traced down the folders related to these tiresome useless pieces of slag (My opinion only, please no offense to anyone who uses and likes these excess programs). So, maybe I have no choice but to leave ALL these little irritat-o-programs? Or, maybe someone knows where on the installation DVD the Fonts library is located. Thank you. XweAponX PS: Oh yes: The Program runs even with this irritating error, but I just wanna get rid of de error, it is the "Principle of the Thing" Cheers Last edited by XweAponX; 11-29-2007 at 01:18 AM. |

XweaponX - welcome to PCMech.
It's funny that Adobe keeps purging their own KB .. it must be some idiotic marketing thing where they dont want google to show all their documented errors! Instead they seem to have users floundering with this issue .. and ridiculously enough, I found enough references to their KB article missing. From what I've seen on the searches, an apparent fix seems to be in doing a reinstallation of the CS2 suite. It seems to correct the error. |
