You could try to reinstall office and see if that fixes it.

Does Vista have SP1 installed? Does Office have SP1 installed?

It doesn't sound like you've got much to lose : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Make sure you've got all the current hot fixes, then go for it.

hpz3r4v2.dll is a reference to an HP printer. Do you have an Hp printer installed and if so, are the drivers up to date. If the answer to both is yes, try disconnecting your printer and see if you still get the error.

Oh my, my, my and Office Word requires that a printer be installed.
If it Vista is having problems with that HP printer, or if Office is, then that might be the problem.
An update might fix it or might not but first Le Pacha needs to do a compatibility check.

Hopefully you can download Vista drivers and connect the printer and your problem should be solved. Let us know your results please.

Well it did print after i deleted the file, but before printing (right after i connected it), a little icon came up in the system tray saying "Insalling New Device" which was actually recovring the file i deleted from some cab file

now i have the printer printing and word crashing on exit

I googled the file name and it turns out it is a common problem. HP has been including this file in many printer drivers, not just the Deskjet 5150 i have, and seems they never tested any of them with vista and word 2007,

Not sure actually if this problem is producable on XP systems with word 2007.

If anybody has any suggestions easier than buying a new printer, please don't hesitiate, i would hate throwing away a perfectly working pritner..

I wasn't sure Primo PDF would work with vista till I checked but I have , it does, and could spare your wallet : http://www.primopdf.com/primopdf_support_manual.aspx

It took me long enough to remember but we've used this as a work around before, though not on Vista .

Check this out : http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.p...ight=primo+pdf

Wow, so the problem with HP only exists when it is the default printer.

I didn't even have to install PrimoPDF, I already have another printer driver installed, called "Microsoft XPS Document Writer", this is an add-in for word 2007 that comes bundles with the PDF add-in, called "Save as PDF or XPS", I never realised the XPS printer driver would have a function until now.

Thanks pam123.
