IE6 doesn't open in full screen

XP Home with IE6

When I open IE6 for the first time, I get a full screen. After that, every time I click on a link that opens another instance of the browser, I get a screen that's about 25% of the maximized screen, no matter what the link is. How do I fix this, so that all instances of the broswer are opened in full screen?

Thanks

Stretch the window to the desired size, close the ORIGINAL window, then close the new window.
