All my files turned to shortcuts
Ok, so my boss screwed up his computer. He wanted Windows Explorer to point to his folder on the server. So, what he did was, well actually he doesn't remember what he did. All I know is he opened the properties of some folder on his computer, and changed the location to the folder he wanted Explorer to open up to automatically. So now, all the files in that folder (on the server) are shortcut's which is weird. Now when I go to the folder (on the server) from my computer, they don't show up as shortcuts. I looked at the properties for the files on the server, and they are still in the same location. I told him to restart his comp, which he's doing now. I don't know, it's weird and now he's freaking out that he screwed something up and doesn't want the files to look like shortcuts when he looks at them on his comp. Any advice???

XP? If so, do a system restore.

Yeah, XP. Fixed it. It wasn't shortcut icons, it was synchronize icons. So went to the syncronization manager and turned it off. He was gonna try to map that file to open in Explorer automatically, but I told him not too.
