desktop icons

guys
Im useing windows XP pro and I dont know what I did but all the icons on my desktop have a little collor background. It looks weard. What do I do to fix it.

Have you tried using a Restore Point to a time before this problem occurred?

Icons on Desktop - How to make caption background transparent

First, make sure your Wallpaper is an image file, not html.
Then change these settings as follows:

1.) Right-click on Desktop -> Arrange Icons by
and then uncheck 'Lock Web items on Desktop'.

2.) Right-click on Desktop -> Properties -> Desktop tab -> Customize Desktop,
-> Web tab, then uncheck "My Current Home Page" and "Lock Desktop Items".

3.) Control Panel -> System -> Advanced tab, and then in
the 'Performance' section, click.. Settings, select... Visual Effects tab
and then checkmark.. "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop",
click apply, click ok.
