dban not working?
Ok I've been having several problems with my new desktop and it was recommended that I use dban to wipe the drives, I put the disc in and it said wait 60 secs for it to start, after waiting at least 5 minutes my screen went black so i dont know whats going on. I checked there site faqs, etc but couldnt get anything on this.

What problems ?
Did the system post, drives recognized in the bios ? Does it post now ? If it's not the new build you were planning for this weekend but rather the Compaq/HP and you zeroed out the drive you may have taken out the restore partition as well.

It sounds like you need to try another floppy disk or another CD-R.
