I've Lost My IE Icon?!
Hey guys and gals...
Just a quick question about the internet connection speed icon in the task bar... The box is checked in 'LAN Properties' and the icon saying '100Mbps' is still there but before I installed XP Pro from XP Home, I used to have a single monitor icon telling me my current internet connection speed (1.7mbs)... This is now gone and albeit just a nice informative icon and not a necessary one, I miss it and want it back! lol Any ideas of where I can find it?! Many thanks, Ryan |

I believe you go into control panel > network connections > click on your connection > properties > click on properties again > check off show icon in notification area when connected

A single monitor icon is for a wireless adapter, a double is for a wired adapter.

Well my router is linked via an enternet cable to my PC but I definitely had the current speed icon on my desktop before I installed XP Pro...
This is a strange one... I only want my icon back!
