Excel, Want to Count Colors

Okay, so in excel I am filling data with various colors so that I can visually compare using a color-coded ranking system. However, I don't know how to get the count function to count colors. Are there numbers associated with each hue that I can use as criteria?

but a copy of "Excel For Dummies" will help more.

You need to know and understand a few basic commands in vb, sort of like saying please and thank you in another language, but that's it.
That's how you create custom solutions.
