Any idea why, this is extremely annoying, i love firefox.... but i cant use it for alot of things. all my friends use firefox for myspace and they dont have this problem... even the computer down in my basement uses firefox and does not have this problem.. http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...FF/nologin.jpg <---- picture

It appears you're using ff 3 beta 4. I would say try it with a non beta version.

I don't think it is Firefox.
By your account Firefox works without a problem on any other computer but that one. What OS are you using and what other software runs by default on that computer, especially security software. What are the other things firefox doesn't do on that computer ? If you switch to IE (tell us the version) does the problem clear up ? If you're behind a router and networked ( wired or wireless?) give us information on that as well.

Windows XP SP2
Zone Alarm firewall AVG anti virus/spyware Spypot SD resident Any other browser fixes the problem, but i dislike the other browsers. opera/IE (the newest)/Seamonkey Im using AT&T U-Verse, but im on a wired connection with the router/modem thing. Im pretty certain it did this before we switched DSL providers, which was about 4 months ago. |

These guys are the Firefox experts and they'll have a handle on what's doing that. |

I have problems with Firefox on a message board. It doesn't display the entire box and I cannot see what I am typing on some of the box on the right hand side. Others I know have the same problem. I have a plugin that allows Firefox to render as IE and I just switch over to that on that board.

Even if the IE plug-in doesn't work for J_Zeff it may be a valuable tool for someone else reading this thread. |
