Game dosnt play right.

Guys
I have an ASUS commando mobo with a Gforce 8600 GTX with 512 2G of ram , Vista ultimate . I wanted to play crysis and have done so before but for some reason now when the main menu starts up in the game it doesn’t respond to my mouse. But when I make the screen small and have the game in its own window on the system it works fine. I downloaded direct x 10 could that be why.

I believe Vista already comes with DX10, so you shouldn't have had to install anything.

You could try to reinstall the game, and see if that helps.

If you've installed the newest version of DX10, you probably have to do as shadowpr suggests and reinstall the game. I would also update your vid card drivers, too, as the original drivers maybe have been for the prior DX10 release.

well I checked for new driver for video card, Vista said I was up to date with it. I reinstalled Crysis and I was playing for about half an hour till it started doing the same thing. You think it could be my processor heating up.

System on hand with no overclocking.
