Office 2007

Im thinking of buying Office 2007.
Im see you can only use the product key 3 times and after that you can't use it anymore.
What if you want to take it off of one pc and put it on another?

As far as I know the retail edition of Office 2007 can only be installed on 2 computers at the same time ( a desktop and a laptop).
Your description suggest you have vlk (volume license key) that should enable the above on 3 different set ups with different product key numbers so that's 6 computers at any one time.

The solution, just make a note (and don't lose it!) for each install of the product key used.
That way you can always re-enter the required product key if you a crash or get a new machine etc.

What you don't do is use a new product key with each install.

Home and Student versions allow for installation on 3 pc's, Pam. I've retired an old pc and moved the older Office (XP - Student and Teacher version) to a different pc. I had to call MS and talk to them to get a new activation but it was a painless call.

So it's the same deal as when XP decides you're over the limit and you have to call activation?
In that case KTN has nothing to worry about.

I have to decide if I should just keep Office 03 or buy Office 07.
