Office 2007 Academic from Purplus Software

I am shopping for Office 2007 and am a part-time student, which usually qualifies me to buy academic software. Does anyone know for sure if the Academic version of Microsoft Office 2007 Professional is the same as the non-academic version?

Also, I have found the 2007 Academic Pro version here: http://store.purplus.net/of20prac.html. I have purchased other software form Purplus before and had good luck with it, but I have never bought any Microsoft software. A few years ago, I purchased Office 2003 from an online company claiming everything was legit. The software had a key, hologram, etc. and installed and activated fine at least twice. Then recently I was doing some updates and allowed the Microsoft validation tool to run and it stated my Office 2003 isn't valid. It still works, but the "Activate" option again appears in the Help menu.

I want to save money, but don't want to get illegal software. Does anyone know of Purplus' selling illegitimate software? I have looked before and have never found anything negative about them and, of course, they claim their software is all legally obtained.

If anyone knows one way or the other regarding these two questions, please let me know.

I've used www.academicsuperstore.com for the same purpose - getting the student / teacher discount. I've had no problems with them over several big purchases.
