Excel duplicate records
I've searched and found ways to delete / remove duplicate records in a spread sheet, but what I need is to delete both records that make up the duplicate set.
In other words, if I have one list of: Jane Bob John Sue, and another list of: Bob Sue, All I want left is: Jane John Any ideas on how to do this? I typically deal with a master list of about 650 records, and then work with a subset that could be hundreds of records, all the way up to the master list size. What I am doing now is to copy the subset into the master list, sort, then manually delete the pairs of duplicate records. And bow-howdy is that a waste of time... TIA ![]() TR |
