Images not showing in Outlook

Could someone please advise why on Outlook 2003 suddenly I cannot see images which are contained in emails received.
Is this an Outlook setting problem, or something else ?

Thanks in advance

First, is this just any email with images or mail from a particular sender ?

Assuming that the problem is on your end, and it might not be, have you changed any settings in Internet Explorer (If the mail is sent HTML enabled then a change in Internet Explorer would affect pictures) ?

Outlook 2003 has a security setting for images and has to be told that they're allowed from a particular sender.
Have you done any security updates lately that might have made changes ?
Are you receiving mail from a new group of senders who might not be on the "allowed" list ?

Thanks for the reply Pam123.

The problem has affected all of my image bearing mails.
My mail is sent HTML enabled, but I have not - knowingly - changed any IE settings, and mainly I use FireFox.
The only recent security update has been 'MS08-023: Critical security update for ActiveX killbits' on 10 April, but the problem only occurred yesterday.
There has been some 'new spam' getting through of late, but again this was before the problem occurred.

Would a system restore help at all?

Tools > Options > Security > Uncheck Block images

See if that works.

If shadowpr's suggestion doesn't do the trick, I would think you already have it unchecked but stranger things have happened with Windows, then I would use System Restore.

Thanks for the help folks, I've done a system restore and that's worked.
