Nero Heartaches

I bought Nero 7 Ultimate for 62.99 recently, and by recently, I mean this monday before last. Sadly, I only actually need Nero Vision because its so keen and maybe use the ROM burning too.

I burned about 10 DVDs in the beginning with no problems. However, I started to get this stalling as I open NeroVision. Meaning, when I click to load NeroVision in the start menu, its loads the "About Nero Vision" box with all my info and the software summary and then it just sits there. It used to take about about 7-10 seconds there, then load the GUI. Now, it never loads. I read on some forum it can be caused by a SLOW cpu, or firewalls, or virus scanners. My pcu is fast enough, I added it as a exception in windows firewall, and I turned Avast Pro off when troubleshooting. No luck. it even freezes the PC for a few seconds too. I don't have any resource heavy program running in the backround (just Avast, SetPoint [for wireless keyboard/mouse], Google Web Acellorator, and that's it.)
I also uninstalled, and reinstalled it. No dice. It still hangs at the "box". I haven't installed or uninstalled any other programs. I only use this program and ImgBurn (b/c it's x64) to burn CDs and DVDs.

Oddly, all of the other Nero programs work. I turned off the Nero Scout, still no difference. Is there a troubleshooting guide for this situation? Or has someone has this same problem?

Did you use the Nero Clean Tool utility to do the uninstall ?

I used the cleaning too. Not I't going to try out Nero 6.6. Seems to have less bugs.
