Corrupted image file

Hello,

I have backed up a data disk for a program that I use a lot to an image file, and mounted it thought Deamond tools. The problem is that after a while the image get corrupted and I have to rebuild it.
Would anyone know what could be causing this corruption. I have scanned the drive and it passes, I evan ran spinrite on it and it says that the drive is fine.
