annoying sound

hi all new here so here goes have this annoying problem with an intermittant snatch of a song that plays at anytime on computer
its something like "gimme a lie" had it on my last computer too so i figure it has to be some programme i've got installed but i just can't figure it out any one got any ideas what it could be running avg free 7.5 av zonealarm free firewall spybot and adaware system clean no virus or spyware also double check with trend microscan housecall
dell inspirion 9200
2 gb ran
nvidia 7900gs graphics
western digital 500gb hd

It does sound like you have bloat ware running.
You ditched all the annoying "trial ware", right?

i do a weekly scan with spybot and adaware and avg and a monthly scan with housecall all progammes legit just don't know what it can be it will pop up at at any time

Have you been through Contol Panel->Sound and Audio->Sound tab and see if it shows up there?

thanks will try that do i look for the phrase "gimme a lie"or something else ok figured it out its not in the sound tab been through them all and its not in there

If you have AIM then it could be a buddy expression sound and that is what it is set to play when they sign on/off. You can go under edit, settings, sounds to change it.
