Server admins/ Network admins/ Desktop Support

Just curious, what software tools do you see as essentials to having in doing your jobs? Which ones do you use? I appreciate all recommendations. I know it depends on what one is trying to achieve. I am just looking for the best ones.

thx

Here's a list of the utilities on my work computer. I'm a network admin:

ExamDiff Pro
NitroHex
Leech FTP
WinRar
....
Hmm, that's it. I do programming too, so I've got VS.NET and SQL server stuff.

Really, though, all I need to use for troubleshooting is Google and this place.

LOL..I wish thats all I needed. Thanks for those. I'll google them to see what each does. I appreciate your response.

To other posters, more apps are welcomed.

Since I'm an admin/web developer/multimedia person, I have a whole slew of tools:

winrar
filezilla FTP
putty
editplus 2 (I prefer this over notepad++, however, editplus is not free)
taskbar shuffle (I put this on all my machines...it alows me to move anything around on the task bar or system tray)
dreamweaver
eclipse
photoshop / gimp
winff
VLC
gspot.exe
razorlame
Riva FLV Player
goldwave
soundforge 6.0 (although I'm trying to phase this out)
convert.exe http://www.joshmadison.com/software
foxit reader
office 2007 compatability pack
ccleaner
spybot
hijackthis
DAEMON Tools
UBCD
tweakUI
prinkey 2000
irfanview

Probably forgetting a handful more, but those are probably the ones I use on a daily/weekly basis
