Would you use 2002 Back Up My PC? (Stomp/Veritas)

Was digging through a box of "stuff" and ran across an old unopened box of Back Up My PC. Reviews on the packaging are from 2002. Don't want to chuck it if it can be used. Just wondering about hardware recognition issues and the like. (Have no idea where this box even came from...some of the stuff is great!) Thanks...enjoy the weekend!

That's actually a very decent piece of software as long as:

1. It supports your OS (read the side of the box).
2. You have a backup device that's supported. If you don't have supported hardware, it can still be used to back up to file, but so can NT Backup that comes with Win2K/XP.

It's based on Backup Exec, which was THE standard for many years. However, these days, backup software that does imaging is a lot more popular. Backup Exec is file-based.

Thanks!

I'm going to keep it and use it for some kind of project then. That kind of backup would have it's strengths.
