Acronis True image keeps crashing

So I installed Acronis True Image 11 for the first time today, but I can't get it to stop crashing. As of now, I have not been able to get past the wizard. When I say crashes I mean I get the windows message that says "Acronis True image has encountered a problem and needs to close". I submit the error report to Windows though I realize it won't do me any good. This only happens when I gets to the "Select Backup Archive Location" screen in the wizard, which makes me think it has something to do with Windows Explorer or something.

Running XP Home with all non-essential programs running. I"ve reinstalled it 2 times but still no luck. Any ideas are much appreciated.

Can you create an image when you boot with the CD? Have you registered the software and checked online for updates?

I have not tried to create an image when I boot with the CD. I take it I need to have the Acronis CD in and set my bios options to boot from my optical drive 1st?

I have registered and I also just submitted a request to their website for assistance. I also searched for updates but I am running the latest version (the one that came in the box that i got from newegg happened to be the most current).
