office 2007 from 2003 fonts

I updated to 07 and had to delete 03 because of a conflict between the two and now some of the fonts that were in 03 are not in 07 and the documents i created using 03 look like my 3 year old did then.

how do i get the fonts from 03 into 07?

Have you googled the name of the font(s) you need?

Have you considered changing the doc fonts to something already inside Office 2007?

You might be able to search the 03 disc and copy the font files and just paste them onto your computer for use by 07.

Try searching for .ttf files.

That might help you locate them.

EDIT: If you have access to another computer with 2003, you can copy all the fonts to a usb drive and then paste them on your computer with 2007.

Tregrad, what happens when you open a doc....Highlight all text and then change the font to something that's already installed?

To copy fonts from one computer to another, copy the .ttf files to a key, insert it in the other computer, open the fonts folder, choose install new font, browse to the key. Make sure you have copy fonts to fonts folder checked.

ok, bear with me. Im a rookie here at this.

1. I need to search the other pc's 03 folder for ttf files to some kind of key (I dont know what a key is)

2. insert that key to my machine (desktop?)

3. open fonts folder from 07 or the new one with the key.?

Let me see if i can do that much first LOL

thanks for the help, my letterheads and everything for my business are all screwed up.

All true type fonts are .ttf files. That's what .ttf stands for - true type font.

I'm referring to a USB flash memory key. Use floppy disks if you have to, you can fit a lot of fonts onto a floppy.

To copy the fonts, go to c:\windows\fonts on the 03 machine and copy/paste what you need. To install them on the 07 machine, open the Fonts folder in control panel and follow my previous directions.

Yes, you can copy them across the network but do NOT just dump them into the windows folder - put them in a temp folder and follow the installation procedure.
