Capture flash files
I was wondering if there is any legal sofware which enables one to capture flash video's from U Tube, or any internet page.
Many thanks Jack |

For Youtube and quite a few other sites, you can use Keepvid. You just copy/paste the Youtube address into the bar, select the site the video is on, and hit Download. It will generate the address below that you can "right click/save as" to download the video. Another option for Youtube is KissYoutube. That only works for Youtube though, unlike Keepvid, which has numerous video sites it supports.

I dont use a program. Once the video has fullt buffered I just head to temporary interent files, sort by size and the video is right there at the top. Just add .flv to the file name and you're good to go. This probably won't work too good if you don't keep temp int files cleaned out though, as there will probably be dozens of videos in there all with names like "sf09dg8dsf0h87d0h"

If using Firefox, install the Greasemonkey extension and the script Youtube Download. With this installed, you merely right click on the video, and a sidebar pops up to download the video. Greasemonkey scripts can be found at http://userscripts.org

Also for Firefox, you can try Download Helper. It's worked well for me.
