Just Bought Outlook 2007

I INSTALLED OUTLOOK A FEW TIMES BECAUSE IT SAID I COULD NOT OPEN IT BECAUSE THE FILE HAS ERRORS IN IT AND IT SAID I NEEDED TO RUN SCANPST.EXE BUT WHEN I TRIED TO RUN IT IT ASKED WHICH FILE I WANTED IT TO SCAN AND WHEN I WENT INTO THE FOLDERS RELATING TO OUTLOOK THERE WERE ONLY FOLDERS SHOWING AND NO FILES. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

OTHER TIMES WHEN I HAVE LOOKED IN THE PROGRAM FILES OF OUTLOOK THE FILES ARE ALL THERE BUT NOT WHEN YOU TRY TO RUN SCANPST.EXE.

Linda

Please do not post in ALL CAPS. Thank you.

The file you are looking for is "outlook.pst". Search your hard drive for it, including in hidden and system folders.

point taken glc about caps. I found scanpst.exe in outlook and chose one of the files in outlook to scan. Computer checked the file and then when I tried to run outlook and use it it still says use inbox repair tool to correct errors and use scanpst.exe. I could pay pc world 29.99 which they have quoted but I have just paid 200 to them and thought I might be able to sort it out without paying further. Can you help me?

I have downloaded my email address book into outlook but outlook still won't work. I still have outlook express running correctly on my pc.
