splat OE Retrieving Old Emails. Can I stop this???

Hey folks,
Recently I got a serious virus so I had to reformat my HD. After doing this I set up my OE mail and when I opened it for the first time, BAM the server sent 6,000 Old emails! So I stopped receiving 'cause it will take hours. Now every time I open OE, it re-starts receiving the 6,000 emails. Is there a way to stop this? Or am I just going to have to let it finish & then delete them all? Oh, I have AT&T Yahoo for my ISP. Thanks. & have a Great Day!

Within the email "account" settings is an option to "Leave Mail on Server" and you can tell it how may days worth of mail to store....

You're proabably stuck with either letting all the mail download or going online and deleting the mail there.
