faulting excel.exe

I have a user who when using Microsoft Excel 2003 keeps getting repeated errors, and the program crash's.
In Event viewer you can see the same error over and over.
I have tried to run the repair Office from the cd, then I reinstalled, didnt help one bit.
I also looked in her XLSTART folder, and there was nothing in there. There is nothing in her STARTUP folder. The only thing in her MACROS folder is a word template.
Any Ideas? In the event viewer I can see this error like 10 times in a 15 minute period.
Here is the Event viewer info.

1) Check for malware
2) Run windows and office updates. SP3 is the latest service pack for office 2003, so you'll need that before applying updates (office update will take care of it if you don't do it on your own).

Just a follow up. The computer was already windows updated, and office 2003 sp3 was also installed. First I delted the excel setup file, then I deleted the excel part in the registry, didnt help. Then I turned off the auto file recovery/save feature in setup, and that did the trick.
