smokin word has gone crazy

Hello guys

what causes windows document to change into kind of chinese and funnyscripts?
and sometimes if you are not careful you loose your document.

any idea?

User Error is the first thing that comes to mind

Creating a Word doc with a special/custom font and sending it to another person that doesn't have that font installed could also cause this...

Good old data corruption from an improper shutdown while the doc was open can cause this.

It's either like EzyStvy said, or ancient video card drivers.

If you reboot and open the word file and it shows up file, it's video card drivers that need updating. If not, then it's a problem with fonts, file format, or corruption.
