A couple notes - CDBurnerXP requires .NET. DeepBurner Free will not burn DVD movies directly, you have to premaster them with something else and burn the required files as a data DVD.

Hey all, i have a question about burning videos. I Have .mkv (bluerays) formats that i'd like to burn onto a dvd to watch in my regular dvd on my tv. What do I need to do that? I"m guessing a converter program, and a burning program. Is that all? can someone suggest a good free one? I've downloaded CDburnerXP witch is working great, eccecpt the fact that it burns whatever format the file is in, and I don't have the option to convert. So I guess I just need a converter? please help.

I use number 4) Express Burn. Dunno if it's the fastest in the world (did they try ALL the burning soft))), but it's very fast and doesn't have any unnecessary stuff many other programs include.

I have many free software applications in my computer. Based from experience most free programs actually offer more satisfying services compared to paid ones.

I use my computer for writing and research. I have no specific third party program requirements which is why I can basically do with programs offering only basic functionalities, which in this case are mostly free software.
