Outlook data file "adding"?

Ok, first off, i'm not sure if this is the right forum for this question, but I couldn't find a rightfully suited forum, so here is goes.

My HDD resently crashed, and I had to switch to my back up HDD (which was cloned about a month ago). I have Outlook 2007 on both drives, and I was able to retrieve the data file from the crashed drive. My question is, now how do I add the data file from the crashed drive to my back up drive's Outlook folder without writing over the data that was already on there? I have emails from the crashed drive that I want to add to Outlook on the back up drive that I am currently using. I tried to copy the data file to Outlooks folder, and It gave me the option to add, and not overwrite the current file, but it don't show the data/emails in outlook. The only way I can view them, is if I take the current data file out of that folder and put the data file from the crashed drive into that folder, but I want to combind them together.

sorry if this is a jumbled explination, I couldn't figure out a good way to explain it

Within Outlook you'd click on FILE and then look for the import option. I don't have Outllok 2007 up n running but you should be able to find it...Can also look in the help file for IMPORT.
