Does anyone have any idea what this is? I've an Acer Aspire One netbook running Windows XP and every now and again when I'm moving the mouse pointer (using the touchpad) this appears and it's very annoying. I can't see anything in the Synaptics touchpad settings that has any reference to it. I don't know what it does, why it appears or how to get rid of it. Any help would be much appreciated. TIA. Colin.

In the regular mouse pointer option is an option to press the CTRL key to "show the location of the pointer when pressed."

OK, found out what it is. It is a very obscure setting in the Synaptic settings called "ChiralMotion scrolling" Anyway - turned it off because of it's sheer annoyance!
Thanks. |
