Take a look at ImgBurn and CDburnerXP. They come recommend by folks here and I am just now trying out ImgBurn and like it. I'll be trying CDburnerXP, too, due to recommendations here.

I've been using InfraRecorder for a while, happy enough with it. But I intend to check out ImgBurn soon.

I second that on InfraRecorder, there's a PortableApps version, too. CDBurnerXP is good, too.

Another vote for ImgBurn. It will do more than just burn image files, you can create data discs (CDs or DVDs) easily from individual files, and the newest version will burn audio CDs too (albeit in a slightly tardy fashion). The only other one I've tried is DeepBurner, and I MUCH prefer the ImgBurn interface.

The thing that sold me on ImgBurn is that setting "book type" for a movie DVD was simple, easy, and it worked. Could never get it right with Roxio or Nero for some reason. Also, it burns more reliable than at least Roxio, too. For example, I just burned five copies of a home movie for a friend. He just moved and took a tour of his place to share with out-of-state family. With Roxio there were problems like skipping and pixelation at times. These problems were not in the finish project, meaning not in the VOB files. -- And that's not to mention the discs didn't work in all machines. (He took the video and sent me the raw footage to "put to disc.")

Without changing anything except for using ImgBurn, the next set of 5 discs came out just fine and worked in all machines.
