Desktop Icons
I'm not sure if I had already posted this subject before but my question is: Do the icons for programs on the Desktop and Secondary Desktop affect boot up to the main menu?

Not really, it's the programs/processes that load at start up that do that.
The icons are just an indicator of possible trouble since everything that puts an icon on your desk doesn't necessarily load at start up. If you're wondering try cleaning them up. If you have XP use this : http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u.../organize.mspx

If you have Hundreds of Desktop icons, I would put in folders...
