"Bs Recorder GOLD" -- bgsvcgen
While Googling a running service on this machine, named:
bgsvcgen I found the usual million descriptions of "malware could be named anything..." and that it is also reportedly part of a program called: "B's Recorder GOLD" I've never knowingly installed such a program. So, what I'm figuring is that it is a component of something else I've installed. Anybody have any ideas what it may be a part of (like Audacity, ImgBurn, or the like) ??? |

It's been on my machine since June 2004. Thinking it maybe came with a cd burner. Its a rather large app and doubtfull you accidently installed it.

Ya, I'm sure I didn't accidentally install it, too. It probably came with a "suite" and I sure am curious as to which one.

It might maybe came with a Cannon inkjet?
You could look at the folder date to see when you installed it. |

So, mystery solved! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction ![]() edit: you got one in, glc, while typing the above. Yes, I've had Sony burners way long ago, so long that they were just CD burners. Last edited by TwoRails; 10-19-2008 at 12:18 PM. |
