Freeware/Shareware C++ Compiler
I would like to do some C++ programming in my spare time, but can’t justify spending 2-3 hundred dollars for a commercial C++ compiler. Can someone tell me where I can find a freeware or inexpensive shareware C++ compiler?
Thanks John Plenge |

You might want to take a look at this if you're going to be using the camera in your first post with Windows : http://www.onlythebestfreeware.com/p...program_id=125

Dev-C++ is a free one, though more of an advanced text editor than true IDE with all the bells and whistles (which might be ok, if you're just starting out).
Eclipse has a C++ track: http://www.eclipse.org/cdt/

Thanks for the info folks. I am planning to use it with the webcam mentioned in my other post, so I'll probably go with the Borland version. I've done a little C++ programming at work using Visual C++ and did some several years ago using Borland Turbo C++ (dabbling in game programming).
