Adobe Shockwave
Hello!
I'm trying to D/L Adobe Shockwave. I'm running Windows Vista (64-bit) and Firefox. When it finishes d/l'ing I cannot find the program anywhere on my PC. When I try running the application I have that requires Shockwave I'm prompted to find via the internet or somewhere on my PC the appropriate program to open it up. So, what's the deal? Is Firefox not letting the Shockwave files in? I see ot d/l'ing, but it doesn't work. Thanks |

Have you considered modifying in Firefox so that you can select (and remember) where to download the file to?
Tools |Option | Main | Downloads FWIW, I have a Vista laptop and yes, sometimes I couldn't find the file myself. |

Are you running a popup blocker? If so, try disabling it during the download. I had to do that on my machine because my Maxthon browser was blocking the download. It would LOOK like it was doing its thing, but afterwards it wouldn't be there and it would tell me I needed to go download it again. I disabled my popup blocker as well as the ActiveX blocker and it installed fine. Worth a shot.
