word / open office vista and hp problem

I noticed that while using word, or writer from open office that when ever I printed from my HP printer that it would usually cut off half of the bottom line horizontally.

I did some searching, and asking around. It seems to be a common problem, and I attribute it to bad drivers. HP might never fix this, so a realistic fix is needed. I searched, and didn't find any real solutions.

The solution that I found, and was suggested by a few other members from this site was to print to pdf, and then open that pdf and print that. This led to a perfect print. No problems this way. It takes about two extra steps in the whole prinint process, but not much time, and will give you perfect results.

Hope this can help others.
