powerpoint presentation thru projector and read word document

Powerpoint 2003 and 2007

I am learning how to construct PPS,
I have a laptop and projector attached, it has a simple graphics card VGA output.

is it possible to to display the PPS thru the projector but still be able to see an acompanying word document on the laptop screen to read notes?

Or is it possible to do this in powerpoint and read notes from the program whilst the slide show is active thru the projector?

thanks

LP

The projector works like a second monitor...You can clone/duplicate the laptop screen or "extend" it and do what you want to do.

That is only possible if the laptop's video adapter is capable of dual display functions.
