What is AGEIA PhysX

A program called AGEIA PhysX showed up in my control panel. I must have unknowingly downloaded it with another program, maybe? I have no idea what it is and if I can delete it without affecting some other program. Can anyone give me some direction on this?

thanks

Thank you GLC. But does it matter that I don't have a Nvidia video card? I see there is a game that I loaded which is supported by PhysX but next to it it says: (No Geforce PhysX)

The game probably put the entry in the Control Panel. The game will still work fine, just without some extra physics thrown in for eye-candy. I wouldn't worry about it.

Most likely. Worse comes to worse, the game won't work without that entry in place and you'd just have to reinstall.

Semantics - you can *uninstall* it using add/remove programs, not "delete" it.
