ALT button issue-Windows Live Messenger
Hi the issue with my Windows Live Messenger regarding the ALT button is that the File drop down won't disappear. Normally, you hit it once to drop down the menu (File Edit Action Tools Help) and hit it again to make it disappear.
While alt-tabbing between two Messenger windows, a full-screen game maximized by itself while i was holding ALT. When i alt-tabbed from the game back to my Messenger window, the ALT drop down menu was there permanently. Since this occured in version 8.5.1302, i believed that the problem would disappear in the new Windows Live Messenger 2009. However, it is still there. (ALT has not been pressed) http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/f...ltwlmprob1.jpg (ALT has been pressed) http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/f...ltwlmprob2.jpg This issue only occurs in my Windows Live Messenger conversation windows. I would appreciate some help to make the ALT drop down menu not permanent. Thanks Last edited by glc; 01-11-2009 at 10:43 AM. Reason: Large inline images converted to links as per forum rules |

I don't use messenger, but have you searched in the options menu?

Yes, I have searched through the options menu. I do not believe that the settings in Options deals with the ALT drop down menu being permanent since I have the same settings on my laptop which does not have this issue.
