Angry Fire nero 8 ultra not working on vista OS

I am using vista 32 bit bussiness and it perfectly work all its component except nero vision to make dvd to run on any player. It add all video files and analyse. It give message"unable to prepare data for recording.Prepare session failed.Transcoding of video failed." On the other hand if I use same software (Nero 8 ultra) on win xp-2 OS it will work perfectly for making DVD ON NERO VISION.
Please let me know what is the reson for not working on Vista plateform.

Is the DVD you're attempting to trans code a commercial one ?

If it's not what format are the original files in ?

Disable "Nero Smart Encoder" in the video options. Do not choose your exact country - choose only generic NTSC or PAL.

Read this whole thread from CDFreaks : http://club.cdfreaks.com/f32/unable-...videos-207971/

They have to same suggestion to make about PAL/NTSC that glc does ( Did you try it and if so what happened ) and further information about deleting chapters in the original video.

Get DVD+R (DL) for this if your burner can handle it ( most from the last few years can).
Since you want to use the disk in any DVD player you're going to set the book type to DVD-ROM (Another reason why you use DVD+R).

Here's how : http://www.k-probe.com/bitsetting-booktype-faq.php

Dear Pam123,
Tnx for your further suggestion but it will not serve my pupose, as I am using Nero vision to compile copied videos on DVD which later can play on any DVD player.
I want to accommodate these videos which after adding go beyond 4.3 gb., how to shrink these videos to fit on dvd-R or DVD-RW

A double layer DVD should play on any DVD player. It will hold up to 8.5 gb.

The DVD+R( DL) book typed to DVD-ROM will , as glc has told you, run on any DVD player.
